Greenline Fuel Hose Specifications

    Type A1 Fuel Feed Hose

    • Type A1 fuel feed hose is designed specifically for hose runs from the fuel tank to the engine. Green Line produces it with inner diameters of between 1/4 inch and 5/8 inch. It is supplied either in a box containing 50 feet of the hose, or on a reel containing 250 feet. The A1 specification means the hose meets the performance specifications of a United States Coast Guard (USCG) Type A1 hose; that is, it permeates 100 grams or less of fuel per square meter of interior surface over the course of 25 hours. Also, the hose must withstand a 628 degree C flame for 2 1/2 minutes. It is made of nitrile rubber reinforced with synthetic yarn.

Type A2 Hardwall Fuel Fill Hose

    • A2 hardwall fuel fill hose is designed to run from the boat's gas port to its fuel tank. Green Line produces this hose with inner diameters of 1/2 inch to 2 1/2 inches, and sells it in 12.5- or 50-foot standard lengths. The USCG Type A2 designation means the hose may permeate up to 300 grams of fuel per square meter of interior hose surface over 24 hours. A Type A2 hose must pass the same fire test as an A1 hose. The hose is made of nitrile/PVC-blend rubber, reinforced with two layers of synthetic fabric and steel helix wire.

Type A2 Softwall Fuel Fill Hose

    • Softwall fuel fill hose is not metallically reinforced, allowing for greater flexibility, and is designed for port-to-tank runs that must flow around obstacles. It meets the same permeability and flame resistance standards as A2 hardwall fuel feed hose. Green Line produces it with inner diameters ranging from 1 1/4 inch to 2 3/8 inch, in both 12.5- and 20-foot standard lengths. It is made from nitrile/PVC-blend rubber and is reinforced with two layers of synthetic fabric.
