- 1). Unhook the negative battery cable. Use the pliers to loosen the nut around the cable and lift it away from the battery terminal.
- 2). Pull off the triangular sail panel at the upper corner of the door panel. This panel is attached by two clips; no tools are required to remove it.
- 3). Pry off the circular screw cover beneath the sail panel. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to remove the cover. Remove the screw behind it with a Phillips screwdriver.
- 4). Pull the interior door handle open, and then pry off the circular screw cover behind it. Remove the screw behind the cover with a Phillips screwdriver.
- 5). Remove the Phillips screw mounted in the storage compartment on the power window control panel.
- 6). Remove the two Phillips screws along the bottom edge of the door panel. You'll have to bend down to see them.
- 7). Pull off the power window control panel. This panel is attached by clips. Grasp the outer edge of the panel and pull up to remove it. Unhook the two connections behind the panel.
- 8). Remove the Phillips screw in the cavity where the power window control panel was mounted. It will be visible with the panel removed.
- 9). Grab the bottom edge of the door panel on each side, and firmly pull it to pop out the door clips. Push up on the door panel, and reach behind it to unhook the door lock rod. Remove the panel and set it aside.
- 1). Position the door panel against the door and hook the door lock rod to the rear of the panel. Line up the clips on the rear of the door panel to the holes in the door. Push in on the door panel to reattach the clips.
- 2). Replace the screw mounted in the power window control panel cavity. Connect the harnesses to the back of the control panel, and then reattach the panel to the door. Push down firmly to reattach the clips.
- 3). Replace the screw in the power window control panel storage compartment. Replace the screw behind the interior door handle. Replace the screw below the sail panel. Replace the two screws along the bottom edge of the door panel.
- 4). Snap on the two screw covers, and then reattach the triangular sail panel to finish. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
