- 1). Open up the door that has the damaged window regulator and locate the screws that fix the door panel to the inside of the door.
- 2). Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws from the door panel. Pull the door panel away from the door and set it to one side. Place the screws in a safe place as you will need to reattach them later.
- 3). Pull the water deflector away from the inside of the door. This can be done by pulling it away from the door with your hands until it comes free. Place the deflector with the previously removed door panel.
- 4). Use your hex wrench to remove the hex bolts which connect the window pane to the window regulator. Place a block of wood underneath the window to stop it from falling down into the access panel. Remove the mounting bolts from the bottom of the regulator. Unhook the electrical connector from the motor with your hand and pull the regulator away form the door.
- 5). Place the new window regulator into the door access panel. Secure it in place with the mounting bolts. Connect the electrical connector from the motor in to the regulator. Line up the regulator with the window pane and secure them both together with the hex bolts. Reattach the rest of the door assembly by following the removal steps in reverse.
