The Joy Of Being A Dog Trainer

Do you really enjoy working with and being with your dog? Do you feel a need to train and teach your dog new things? Do your friends ask you for training or behavior tips for their dogs? If so you may just be the type of person that should be a dog trainer.
Dog training is something that if you have the desire and the passion to work with dogs it will never seem like work.
It will be fun and enjoyment but not work.
I bet you know a bunch of people that moan and complain about their jobs and having to go to work on Monday.
Dog trainers just don't seem to do that.
That is especially true of trainers that work for themselves rather than work for somebody else.
I think the best part about being a dog trainer is being able to help dog owners train their dogs so that they never end up in a shelter or with a rescue organization or worse yet being put to sleep.
If you have a real burning desire to help people as well, then you may enjoy training service dogs for people with physical, hearing or mental disabilities.
This type of dog is in big demand including dogs to help our returning soldiers that need a PTSD dog.
If you want excitement then maybe training dogs for law enforcement may be right up your ally.
The excitement of knowing that the dog you trained is now working for a police department finding drugs, bombs or even protecting a police officer is unreal.
The other added bonus of being a dog trainer really comes into play if you are the type of person that bores quickly.
There is no boredom in dog training because each dog is different and there is always something else to learn.
If you are self employed you are going to love the fact that you are able to set your own schedule.
Work when and where you want while at the same time having the ability to be available for your children or family events when you want to.
I hope this article gave you some inspiration about your possibilities as a dog trainer.
If you are currently working you can actually become a trainer part time so that you are able to test the water before you jump in to it full time.
Hopefully I'll see you soon as a dog trainer.
