How to Change the Power Steering Fluid In a 93 Trooper

    • 1). Place a drain container under the power steering pump. Use the wrench to remove the drain plug from underneath the power steering pump. After removing the drain plug, allow the old power steering fluid to drain into the drain container.

    • 2). Open the lid on the power steering fluid container. Replace the drain plug to the bottom of the power steering pump, and tighten the plug using the wrench. Remove the drain container from under the power steering pump.

    • 3). Pour the new power steering fluid into the power steering fluid container. The container will hold one full bottle of new power steering fluid. Replace the lid to the fluid container. Start the engine and turn the wheel to the right and left to circulate the new power steering fluid.
