- 1). Unplug the oven or turn off the oven breaker in your breaker panel.
- 2). Open the oven door and then remove the screws securing the glass cook-top to the body of the oven. The screws are located on the left and right side of the bottom of the front lip of the cooktop.
- 3). Close the oven door.
- 4). Lift the cooktop and have a strong partner hold the cooktop up. If you are replacing the cooktop alone, use a sturdy object to prop the cooktop up so that the burners are accessible.
- 5). Remove the burners from the underside of the cooktop. To remove the burners, remove the screws securing the burners to the underside of the cooktop. On some models, the burners are connected to cross-braces that are connected to the cooktop. Remove the screws securing the cross-braces to the underside of the cooktop to remove the burners.
- 6). Lift the glass cooktop off of the stove and discard.
- 7). Place the new cooktop onto the stove and have a parter hold it up, or prop it up once again using the sturdy object.
- 8). Secure the burners to the underside of the cooktop by aligning the burners or cross-braces with the screw holes and then securing the burners with the screws that were originally removed.
- 9). Lower the glass cooktop into its resting position and then open the oven door and reinstall the screws on the bottom lip of the cooktop.

Close the oven door and then plug the power cord back into the wall, or turn the oven breaker back on.
