- 1). Scrape out the powdered makeup with the spoon. Unless you have a loose eyeshadow or blush--the kind that comes in a small pot--you'll need to crush it up a bit. Transfer the makeup chunks into your sandwich bag.
- 2). Squeeze the makeup through the plastic bag with your hands until it is broken up into a fine powder.
- 3). Open the bottle of clear polish and set the lid aside. Carefully spoon a small amount of the crushed makeup into the bottle. You may find it easier to use a tiny 1/8 tsp. measuring spoon or even a popsicle stick for this step. More makeup equals a deeper color, but will also thicken the polish. Keep this in mind and add only a few spoons to start.
- 4). Screw the cap back on the polish, and shake until well blended. If the polish seems too thick, you can easily thin it by adding a few drops of nail polish remover to the mix, then shaking some more. Add more makeup if you wish to darken the color. You can also toss in a bit of loose glitter or small pieces of confetti to make your own sparkly polish.
