- 1). Sew a line of stitches ¼ inch from the raw edge all the way around the fabric scarf.
- 2). Iron the scarf flat, paying special attention to the edges.
- 3). Trim away the raw edge as close to the stitching as you can get using a sharp pair of scissors.
- 4). Roll the hem tightly so that the first line of stitching is hidden inside the roll.
- 5). Sew the roll by overcasting tightly over it. Continue until the edge of your fabric scarf is entirely bound.
