Inner Layer Shoulder Pads
- 1). Pinch the outer end of the shoulder pad and stitch it together to form a pointed end. This will add more accent to the shoulder.
- 2). Open the inner armhole lining on one of the jacket sleeves, using the seam ripper. Skip this step if your jacket does not come with an inner lining.
- 3). Tuck the pad underneath the shoulder, placing it between the lining and outer layer of the sleeve.
- 4). Check to make sure the shoulder pad curves evenly under both sides of the shoulder.
- 5). Stitch the pad onto the inner seam of the shoulder, using any simple stitch pattern.
- 6). Sew the armhole lining back together. Skip this step if your jacket does not have an inner lining.
- 7). Repeat Steps 1 through 6 on the other shoulder of the jacket.
