- 1). Crochet two single crochets in brown chenille yarn with your G-6 crochet hook. Work in continuous rounds. Work six single crochets in the second chain. Work second round with two single crochets in each crochet around, totaling 12. Begin the third round with a single crochet in the first single crochet, then two single crochets in the next crochet. Repeat this pattern for the entire round, for a total of 18 single crochets. Begin the fourth round with a single crochet for the next two single crochets, then two single crochets in the next single crochet. Repeat this increase pattern for the entire round, making 24 single crochets.
- 2). Continue crocheting increasing by six single crochets each round until round 11. You should now have 66 single crochets. Continue single crocheting in each crochet for rounds 12 to 16.
- 3). Single crochet in each of the next nine single crochets, then decrease one. Repeat this pattern for the entire round. For the next round, single crochet each of the next eight single crochets, and then decrease one. Repeat pattern for the entire round. You should now have 54 single crochets. Continue to decrease six single crochets for the next eight rounds.
- 4). Stuff the head as the opening narrows. Fasten off leaving about six or seven inches of yarn. Weave through the remaining six stitches and fasten off.
- 1). Crochet the first six rounds using the same pattern as for the head. This will total 36 single crochets. For the next two rounds, single crochet in each single crochet. For round nine, single crochet for four single crochets, then decrease one. Repeat this pattern for the entire round, leaving 30 single crochets. For rounds 10 to 13, continue decreasing six single chains on each round. Stuff the nose as the open begins to narrow. Fasten off using the same method as with the teddy bear head. This completes the nose.
- 2). Chain two using the brown yarn. Work three single crochets in second chain from the hook. Chain one and turn. Work two single crochets in each single crochet across the round, chain one, turn. For the third round, single crochet in the next crochet, two single crochets in the next single crochet, repeat across, chain one, turn. For row four, single crochet in two single crochets, two single crochet in next single crochet, repeat across, chain one, turn. For round five, single crochet in three single crochets, do two single crochets in next crochet, repeat across, chain one, turn. For rounds six and seven, single crochet in each crochet, chain one, turn, and then fasten off. This completes one of the ears. Repeat entire step to make the second ear.
- 3). Crochet the first 15 rounds using the same pattern as the head. For the next round, single crochet the next nine single crochets, decrease one, repeat across. Chain 1, join and turn.
For the next three rounds, single crochet in each crochet, chain 1 and turn. Then, single crochet each of the next eight single crochets, decrease one, repeat around, chain one and turn. Single crochet in each single crochet, chain one and turn. Repeat this for three more rounds. For the next eight rounds, repeat the last two instructions. Begin stuffing as the opening narrows. For the last two rounds, single crochet and decrease six single crochet across the round. Fasten off and complete as with the head. - 1). Crochet first four rounds using the same pattern as for the head. For round five, single crochet in back loop only of each single crochet around. Work rounds six to fifteen, both loops, single crocheting in each single crochet around. At the end of the last round, slip stitch in the last single crochet and fasten off. This makes one of the arms. Repeat this step for the second arm.
- 2). Crochet five rounds using the same pattern as for the head. Crochet round six, single crocheting in the back loop of each single crochet around. Work the last ten round, crocheting through both loops, single crochet in each crochet around. Slip stitch and fasten off. This makes one of the legs. Repeat entire step to make the second leg.
- 3). Chain two with your B size crochet hook using the black yarn. Work six single crochets in the second chain. Join with a slip stitch to the first crochet and fasten off. This makes one of the eyes. Repeat step for the second eye.
- 4). Sew nose to the front of the head. Sew ears and eyes to the head. Use black yarn to embroider an inverted triangle nose and a mouth. Sew head to the body.
