- 1). Loosen the lug nuts on the Scion's front wheels. Turn them 45 degrees counterclockwise with a tire wrench, but do not unseat the wheel from the wheel hub.
- 2). Place the floor jack underneath the xA and then jack up on the front jack point located just behind the radiator.
- 3). Place jack stands under the pinch welds located directly underneath the driver and passenger side doors on the frame of the xA and lower the vehicle onto the jack stands.
- 4). Continue to remove the lug nuts and then pull the wheel off of the Scion's hub assembly.
- 5). Unbolt the upper and lower caliper mounting bolts on the brake caliper located on the brake rotor.
- 6). Slide the brake caliper assembly off the brake rotor and secure it to the coil springs above the brake assembly with zip-ties.
- 7). Pull the rotor off the hub assembly. There is nothing holding the brake rotor to the Scion's hub assembly now that the caliper has been removed.
