- 1). Turn the heater off and allow it to cool before replacing the wick.
- 2). Lift the fuel tank cover off and remove the cartridge tank. Also, open the front grill.
- 3). Take off the wick adjustment knob on the front of the heater by pulling it straight off.
- 4). Use a screwdriver to remove the cabinet screws and then lift the heater's cabinet off.
- 5). Remove the wind cover and the ignitor. Also, unfasten the four wing nuts by hand that hold the wick adjustment assembly in place. Remove the wick assembly and then fold the remnants of the old wick downwards. Slide the old wick from between the metal teeth.
- 6). Slide the new wick up into the wick assembly from the bottom and stop feeding it once you have reached the black line marked on the new wick.
- 7). Slip the wick assembly back in and then place the wick adjustment knob back on the front of the heater and gradually work it up and down to make sure it works easily.
- 8). Replace the four wingnuts that hold the wick assembly in place. Tighten them down evenly by hand.
- 9). Place the ignitor and wind cover back in place and tighten down their retaining screws with a screwdriver.

Remove the wick adjustment knob again and then set the cabinet back in place and screw it down. - 11
Replace the front grill, cartridge tank and the tank lid. Also, place the wick adjustment knob back on.
