- 1). Place the square Lazy Susan bearing on top of a piece of ¾ inch plywood.
- 2). Trace the square bearing with a pencil and make a circle around the square.
- 3). Cut out the circle of plywood with a jigsaw. This is the base of the turntable.
- 4). Center the bearing on the circle. Turn the top piece of the bearing to expose the screw holes in the bottom piece touching the plywood.
- 5). Insert a screw in each of the corners of the bearing to attach it to the plywood circle. Use a screwdriver and short screws.
- 6). Drill a hole in the wood of the base through each of the holes in the top piece.
- 7). Insert a screw through each of the four drill holes in the top piece of the bearing. Slide the screws in between the wood and the inside of the bearing so they are pointing out, away from the base.
- 8). Cut out another, larger circle of plywood. This will be the top of the turntable, so make it as large as you want the table to be.
- 9). Place the larger circle on a flat surface.
- 10
Put the base on top of the larger circle so it is centered in the middle. The screws sticking out of the bearing should be facing down, toward the large circle. - 11
Turn the base until the holes drilled into it are lined up with the screw heads in the loose piece of the bearing. - 12
Insert the end of a screwdriver into the holes in the base and screw the screws into the larger circle of plywood. Do this for each of the four screws until they are tight. - 13
Place a strip of wood edge banding on the edges of the plywood circles. Wrap the banding around the circles and use a utility knife to cut off the extra where the ends meet. - 14
Make the banding stick to the wood by running a clothes iron over it with the heat set low. - 15
Peel the back off of each of the four plastic feet and stick them to the bottom of the base circle.
