How to Remove a Dash

    • 1). Open the hood of the vehicle and loosen the securing nut on the positive battery wire using a wrench from the tool set. Pull the wire off the battery.

    • 2). Open the right and left front doors of the vehicle and open the glove box. Remove the screws that are securing the dashboard to the frame inside the glove box using a screwdriver from the tool set.

    • 3). Remove the screws on the right and left sides of the dashboard using a screwdriver. Lie on the floor on your back and remove any bolts that are securing the dashboard to the frame behind the dash using a wrench from the tool set.

    • 4). Remove the steering wheel according to the manufacturer's specifications. Pull the dashboard off the frame and disconnect all the wires and wire harnesses from the components on the dashboard. Pull the dashboard away from the frame and out of the vehicle.
