- 1). Cut out four bunny ear shapes from white felt, making sure to extend the bottom portion of the ears enough so that they will be able to wrap around your headband. Cut two smaller bunny ear shapes out of the pink felt to serve as the inside of the ears.
- 2). Sandwich a chenille stem between two white felt ear pieces, and bond the pieces together with fabric glue. The stem will function as a support for the ear, helping it stand up tall and bend. Glue a pink felt piece to the front for the ear lining. Repeat for the second ear.
- 3). Wrap the bottom section of each ear around your headband so that the ears stand up on the top and face the front. Use your fabric glue to attach the ear around the headband and let dry. Now your bunny ears are complete and ready to wear.
- 4). Take a ball of white yarn and wrap it repeatedly around your index and middle fingers until you have a cocoon of yarn around your fingers. Cut the yarn from the ball with scissors, and gently pull the cocoon off your fingers so that its two holes face left and right. String another strip of yarn around the midsection of the yarn cocoon, and tie a knot as tightly as you can. The string of yarn you use for tying should be long enough to go around your child's waist and tie a bow.
- 5). Cut through the loops of yarn at both ends so you are left with a bundle of short yarn strands. Trim these strands until they form a pom-pom. Use the long yarn tie to attach this bunny tail pom-pom to your child's waist. Add the headband ears, and your instant bunny is ready to play.
