How to Make Paper Fireplace Logs

  • 1). Open newspapers flat.

  • 2). Start at one end with about five sheets of paper and roll into a log. Roll tightly for a longer burning log.

  • 3). Continue adding newspaper to the log until it is about 3 to 4 inches in diameter.

  • 4). Melt down old candle pieces by microwaving them on low power in a glass jar or by putting them in a coffee can in a pan of boiling water.

  • 5). Dip strands of yarn into wax.

  • 6). Wrap paper log with yarn dipped in candle wax.
