- 1). Measure the skylight and purchase one that is the same size.
- 2). Scrape off the caulking around the skylight. Use a putty knife to help pull it up.
- 3). Unscrew the screws that hold the skylight flashing in place. A section of the skylight may be attached from the inside. If so, unscrew it as well. Lift the skylight off the RV. Fill the old screw holes with silicone caulk to seal them from weather.
- 4). Insert the new skylight into the hole left by the other skylight. It should slip down into the hole. Press down until it is all the way in.
- 5). Attach flashing to the new skylight cover if it didn't come already connected. Attach the inside section of the skylight as well. It should screw into the outside section. The flashing around the light should be flush with the roof.
- 6). Insert the screws that came with the light. Place them on the edge of the skylight in the pre-made holes and screw them in place.
- 7). Caulk around the skylight seams to keep out water. Caulk over screws as well.
