- 1). Sew the binding 1 inch beyond the end of the garment.
- 2). Cut the binding at the end of your sewing.
- 3). Fold the binding back toward the inside or wrong side of the garment, folding at the edge of the garment so that the folded edge of the binding is flush against the garment edge.
- 4). Stitch the folded binding 1/2 inch from the folded edge vertically, from edge to edge on the binding. Do not stitch into the garment.
- 5). Trim the excess binding on the wrong side of the garment outside the stitch line.
