How to Change an OEM Upgrade in XP

    • 1). Insert the XP installation CD into the computer.

    • 2). Restart the computer and press any key to boot from the CD.

    • 3). Press "Enter" then "F8" (on the subsequent screen) to move to the installation screen.

    • 4). Highlight the drive containing your XP installation and press "R." This will perform an in-place reinstallation of XP, which will take 20 to 60 minutes, depending on the speed of your computer.
