- 1). Park the vehicle on a level spot .Warm up the engine for a few minutes.
- 2). Turn the ignition key to the lock position. Place the jack stands under the vehicle, using the stand marks behind each tire.
- 3). Elevate the vehicle onto the Jack stands. Underneath the hood, find the oil filler cap and remove it. This will allow the oil to drain faster.
- 4). Locate the drain plug on the underside of the vehicle. Unscrew the plug with the wrench.
- 5). Place the oil pan under the drain plug to allow the oil to drain. Once all the oil has drained, secure the drain plug.
- 6). Underneath the hood, locate the oil filter. Loosen it with the wrench by turning counterclockwise. Remove the old filter, being careful to not let the old oil drip.
- 7). Using a paper towel, wipe off the mounting surface on the engine. Make sure that the old gasket is not stuck to the surface mounting. If it is make sure you remove it before installing the new filter.
- 8). Lubricate the rubber of the new gasket with a smear of oil. Screw the new filter into place and tighten it until the gasket contacts the seat. Reinstall the the drain plug with a wrench.
- 9). Add the new oil. Start the engine and check for leaks at the filter or around the drain plug.

Inspect the CV (constant velocity) boots of the drive axles to ensure they are properly packed with grease and in good condition. If you hear a clicking sound while you drive, they might need to be replaced. Consult your Toyota dealer's Service and Parts department for assistance. - 11
Check your brake clearance and brake pads. Make sure that your vehicle does not pull to the side or screech when braking. Should this occur, you need to replace and lubricate your brakes. Also check your brake lines for any fluid leakage. - 12
Rotate your tires to even out the wear. Inspect your tire treads. Use a tire gauge to measure each tire's pressure.
