- 1). Draw a rectangle that measures 13 ½-inches by 9 ½ inches onto a piece of solid-colored fabric and cut out the rectangle.
- 2). Fold over ¼-inch of each side and sew the folded edges in place. Press the edges afterward with an iron to lay the fabric flat.
- 3). Cut a 13-inch by 9-inch rectangle from a piece of patterned fabric. Place the fabric on your working surface with the good side downward.
- 4). Fold ¼-inch edges along each side and sew them in place. Use an iron to lay the fabric flat.
- 5). Place the solid fabric on the working surface with the good side facing downward and lay the patterned fabric on top with the good side facing upward. There should be a ½-inch edge of the solid fabric exposed along all four sides.
- 6). Sew the sides of the patterned fabric to the solid-colored fabric, as close to the edge as possible.
- 7). Flip over the rectangle so that the patterned side is facing downward. Lay the rectangle in front of you with the short sides to the right and left of you. Fold the rectangle into thirds to make a 9-inch by 4 1/3-inch rectangle. Fold the right side over first and then the left side. Crease the folds with the iron and then open the left fold.
- 8). Sew the edges of the right-side fold in place to make a pouch for the diapers.
- 9). Sew two small squares of Velcro to the top left and right of the left side. Insert 3 or 4 diapers into the pouch. Fold the left side over and make a small mark where the Velcro touches the fabric. Sew coordinating pieces of Velcro over top of the marks.
