How to Take Odors From Wood

    • 1). Sprinkle baking soda over the smelly wood surface. Baking soda naturally absorbs stains but will do so more efficiently when it is wet.

    • 2). Fill a spray bottle with 1 cup lemon juice.

    • 3). Mist the lemon juice over the baking soda.

    • 4). Scrub the baking soda into the wood with a soft-bristled scrubbing brush for several minutes.

    • 5). Redistribute the baking soda over the wood so the entire surface is covered.

    • 6). Let the baking soda dry completely for several hours.

    • 7). Sweep up the baking soda and throw it away.
