Preparation
- 1). Turn off the amplifier, and leave it for two days. This is how long it typically takes for the filter capacitors to discharge. You should never test an output transformer without letting the capacitors bleed out first.
- 2). Unscrew the panel of the rear of the amplifier to expose the chassis.
- 3). Unscrew the lugs anchoring the chassis to the cabinet, pull the chassis toward you then place it on top of the cabinet. The wiring will be long enough to permit this partial removal without the need for disconnecting any wire.
