Every business and every team goes through challenging times.
There doesn't have to a recession or social hard times for this to happen.
At sometime or another an organization will hit some hard times.
Things will go wrong.
That is why the company hires people to solve problems.
How would the company look to people if there was not a recession.
What would be different about solving the problems of a company if there wasn't doom from everyone or every place we seem to turn? It seems that things would be concentrated on within the company with everything being about the solutions for the problems.
There would be brainstorming going on on getting past the obstacles.
I'm not saying that is not happening but what would be missing is all the negativity going on out side of the company.
This is hard to escape these days.
Yet it seems to come down to a change in attitude or perspective.
Even during good economic times a company that is stating up has to work its tail off to get going and get in the black.
perhaps this is the kind of attitude that is needed at this time.
Yes it means there may be changes but it does not mean to get rid of all the risks.
The company must function.
But it could mean that everyone in the company becomes so customer oriented that they talk to their customers with upbeat personas which can be contagious.
Perhaps it is even more about going the extra mile.
I called a credit card company the other day and I have to say that was the most pleasant call I have ever has with a company.
During the call we shortly talked about other things than just business, the problem was corrected quickly and easily, and a survey was given at the end that was very short and to the point.
It was all about me the customer.
Funny how that stood out so much.
