- 1). Double-click on your web browser's desktop shortcut to launch it and navigate to the Dropbox website (see Resources).
- 2). Click on the "Download Dropbox" link to download the Dropbox application to the computer's desktop. Double-click on the Dropbox executable file to begin the installation process.
- 3). Input your Dropbox username and password into the "Sign In" screen and press "OK."
- 4). Click on the "My Documents" icon on the desktop and wait for the list of folders and files to appear. Double-click on the folder titled "My Dropbox."
- 5). Locate the files that you wish to store on your Dropbox account and right-click on them. Press the "Copy" tab. Right-click within the "My Dropbox" folder and click "Paste." Your documents are automatically transferred to the Dropbox server.
- 6). Right-click on a folder on the computer that you wish to share with others over the Internet. Click on the "Dropbox" tab and select "Share This Folder." Key in the email addresses of your desired recipients and press "Send." Your peers will now have remote access to the documents in the shared folder.
