- 1). Shut down your computer and let it remain off for at least 20 seconds or restart it using the Windows standard restart button.
- 2). Watch the screen carefully as the computer turns on. As soon as the Toshiba branding screen appears, look for the words "Press F2 to enter BIOS." Press the "F2" key immediately to enter the BIOS. Restart the computer again if you were not fast enough to catch the BIOS entry the first time.
- 3). Press and hold the "Esc" key while still on the Toshiba branding screen if you do not see the invitation to press "F2." A dialog window will appear.
- 4). Press "F1" or any other key as noted to enter the BIOS.
- 1). Click "Start," then "All Programs" and select the "TOSHIBA" folder.
- 2). Click "Utilities," then "TOSHIBA Assist."
- 3). Select "Optimize" from the Toshiba Assist window, then choose "Toshiba hardware settings."
- 4). Navigate through the tabs in the hardware settings window to make the BIOS changes you need, including boot priority and device configuration.
- 5). Click "OK" when you are finished.
