- 1). Flip the power switch on both the helicopter body and the remote control to the "On" position. When both devices are powered on, set the helicopter so that the landers are on a level surface away from any obstructions above it.
- 2). Push the "Throttle" stick located on the left side of the remote control forward slowly. The main rotor of the helicopter will begin to spin and the unit will slowly begin to rise from the landing surface. Do not press the throttle up too fast or you could lose control and damage the helicopter.
- 3). Hold the throttle in a position that allows the helicopter to hover a few inches off of the ground. You may need to practice getting to this position before you begin to fly. Not enough throttle will cause the helicopter to crash, while too much could cause it to spin out of control.
- 4). Slowly press the throttle up to gain altitude once you have managed to hover for a few minutes. When the helicopter is a few feet from the ground, you can use the other controls to maneuver the helicopter.
- 5). Press the "Elevator" control stick on the right side of the remote control forward slightly to tilt the front of the helicopter down. This will make the helicopter fly forward. Tilt the stick backward to tilt the front upward, causing the craft to move backward.
- 6). Move the same control stick to the left or right to turn the helicopter in that direction. Tilting the stick to one direction and forward at the same time will make the helicopter turn in that direction. Always press the sticks slowly in the direction you want to turn to avoid losing control.
