How to Remove Salt Stains From Suede or Leather Shoes

    • 1). Mix ¼ of cup of water with 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.

    • 2). Dip a clean, soft, white rag into the white vinegar and water mixture. If you are cleaning suede shoes dip a clean nylon scrubber such as one you would use in the shower or bath.

    • 3). Blot the salt stains with the wet rag. Continue until the white salt stain is gone. Do not rub the stain because it can spread. For suede shoes, gently scrub the suede in a circular motion with the nylon scrubber.

    • 4). Use a clean, dry, white rag to dry your shoes. For suede, allow the shoes to air dry then gently brush with a suede brush.
