Termite Control And Inspection Will Save Your Home

Termite control for business and homeowners is a common yearly event that they know is required to preserve their real estate investment, and give the buildings or homes an extended life.
Real estate prices have fallen so much in the past three years all over the United States, and only the best, and well-kept homes are now being targeted for purchase.
Having issues with wood eating pests will clearly put the seller at the bottom of the list when shoppers are making decisions.
The Southern part of the US is probably the most popular area of the country for termites, and carpenter ants, as the temperature year round is warm and humid to varying degrees.
The states attached to the Gulf Coast are ground zero for insects, as they have the perfect environment for thriving, and colonizing.
Their population in this area is more than double of states in the Midwest, and further north.
Insects cannot live in snow, and ice so they of course flock toward warmer areas in order to survive.
If you live in the South, you can expect a home to be destroyed by termites in just a few short years without inspection, and treatments at least on a annual basis.
If you are relocating to this area then it would be prudent to get a separate wood destroying insect report (WDI) on any home that is new or for resale to protect yourself from having to obtain more financial resources for home repairs after the purchase is finalized.
Never go by what the home inspector says about termite infestation, as they are only generally trained in this area of expertise, and will not have the vigilance of an experienced and licensed termite control technician.
Have the inspection, and treatment done before moving into your new home, as this will give the pest control service a wider, or more open range to work in, and they will not have to navigate around boxes in the attic, or move furniture in the home for a thorough inspection.
Also, ask them about having your basement and or attic spray dusted while it is still empty, as this will lay down a good foundation of pest control for all insects that like to take up occupancy in homes.
Lastly, if you are moving to Alaska there is good news about termite control, as that is the only state in the Union that does not host termites.
The year round weather prevents them from migrating that far north, and the underground permafrost will not allow them to live in their usual subterranean habitat even during the summer months.
