Things You'll Need
Instructions
1Clean the concrete slab with a simple solution of mild soap and water. Rinse the slab well and allow it to dry completely.
2
Put on protective eyewear and gloves.
3
Attach 40-grit wet-resin diamond polishing pads to your wet/dry grinder. Turn on the grinder and move it back and forth across the concrete slab until the slab is smooth and you no longer feel resistance from the grinder.
4
Attach a higher grit wet-resin diamond polishing pad to the wet grinder. You may move up in girt slowly, by attaching an 80 grit pad, 150 grit pad and so on. Or you may skip grits, depending on the surface finish you want to create. Polish the concrete slab until you no longer feel resistance with each grit.
5
Set the grinder to its "dry" setting. Attach a 1,500-grit diamond polishing pad and polish the concrete slab until it shines. If the concrete isn't shiny enough after thoroughly polishing with a 1,500-grit pad, you may continue the process with a 3,000-grit pad for additional reflectivity.
