Arc Style

• The basic "Arc" style takes your text and bends its base around an arc whose angle you can adjust. The top of each letter of text fans out wider. "Arc Lower" puts the distortion emphasis on the lower half of the text, keeping the top of the letters moderately straight. "Arc Upper" performs the inverse effect.
  
  

Bulging Styles

• The second style section includes "Arch," "Bulge," "Shell Upper" and "Shell Lower." "Arch" is similar to "Arc" except that the thickness of the letter forms are maintained rather than fanning out. "Bulge" distorts so that the center of the word appears larger and "closer" than the outer edges, exaggerating the height of the center text area. "Shell Lower" increases the thickness of only the lower portions of the letter forms and wrapping them to an arc while keeping the top line of text straight. "Shell Upper" performs the same effect to the top portion of text.
  
  

Waving Styles

• "Flag" creates the illusion of text following the form of a flag waving in the wind by applying two curves. "Wave" produces a similar effect except that it maintains the thickness of each letter form for a less "fanned out" look. "Fish" produces a distortion that bulges the height of the beginning of the word, pinches it at a point close to the end while allowing a slight bulge at the last letter. The result resembles a fish-like shape. "Rise" is similar to "Wave" but it allows the beginning and end of the word to end at two different heights.
  
  

Expanding and Twisting Styles

• The "Fisheye" style looks similar to "Bulge" in that the center of the text is larger than the edges. "Fisheye" resembles the distortion of a wide-angle camera lens, however, in that the center letter forms are made wider rather than taller. "Inflate" expands the letter forms from both the top and bottom, with more bending at the edges, as though the text were being wrapped around a balloon. "Squeeze" "pokes at" the text from both the left and the right, resulting in greater angle distortion on the edges and producing tall letter forms in the center. "Twist" distorts both letter form thickness and angle from two sides, making the text appear as though it is swirling as it is being washed down a drain.
