How to Undo Set Credit in Quickbooks

    • 1). Launch the Customer Center by clicking the "Customer" button on the QuickBooks home page. Locate the customer who received the previous credit and double-click the invoice that had the credit applied. If you have not yet created a credit to apply to the open invoice, create a credit memo by clicking the "Customers" menu at the top of the screen, then selecting "Create Credit Memos/Refunds". Fill in Credit Memo form with the proper Vendor name and details of what item is being credited, and click the "Save and Close" button at the bottom of the window.

    • 2). Click the "Apply Credits" button at the bottom of the open invoice.

    • 3). Click to remove the checkmark in the first column underneath the Previously Applied Credits section of the Apply Credits window. Click the "Done" button at the bottom of the window. This will unapply any credit that was set with an earlier credit memo and automatically recalculate the balance due on the invoice.
