- 1). Check the video cables. If they are loose or not plugged in, you do not see a picture. Plug them in securely.
- 2). Press the "Menu" button on the remote to access the main menu, then select "Settings." Adjust the brightness and other color settings. The settings may be set so that pictures on the screen are too dark to see.
- 3). Check the vents to see if there is anything blocking them. The television has a built-in protection mode that prevents it from working if too much heat builds up. Try moving the television to a more open area.
- 1). Press the "Menu" button and select "Settings." Choose "Sound" and check that the sound is set to "Stereo." If it is set to "Mono," change it to "Stereo," as the "Stereo" setting provides better sound quality than "Mono."
- 2). Change to different channels and adjust the volume settings. It is possible that some channels may come in quieter than others.
- 3). Check the audio cables. If they are loose or not plugged in, the sound does not come in. Plug the audio cables in securely.
- 1). Check the main power cord. If it is loose or not plugged in, the television does not turn on. Securely plug the television into an electrical socket.
- 2). Unplug the television and wait for 60 seconds. Plug the television back in and try turning it on.
- 3). Try turning the television on with the remote. If that does not work, try turning it on with the power button on the television's front panel. If that works, then change the remote's batteries.
