- 1). Place the FC-26 tile cutter onto a sturdy, flat work surface. Lift the handle of the scoring wheel upward away from the base. Pull the scoring wheel down the self-lubricating guide rails to expose the tile-cutting surface.
- 2). Mark a cutting line onto the tile with a pencil. Place the tile onto the cutting surface with the marked line centered on the scoring line of the tile cutter. Push the tile along the cutting surface until it butts against the rear of the unit.
- 3). Lower the handle of the tile cutter so that the wheel on the handle aligns with the cutting line marked on the tile.
- 4). Push the handle guiding the cutting wheel along the rails of the tile cutter so that the scoring wheel cuts across the surface of the tile. Push on the handle until you reach the end of the base and the scoring wheel clears the tile surface.
- 5). Push the handle down all of the way. Apply quick, firm pressure to snap the tile along the line where the scoring wheel created the shallow cut on the tile's surface. Remove the two sides of tiles from the tile saw.
