How to Make My Printer Wireless

    Setting up your wireless printer.

Remove the cap from the Bluetooth adapter and plug it into the USB port on your computer.

    • 4). Power on your printer, print server and your computer.

    • 5). If there is installation software for your Bluetooth adapter, load the installation CD into your computer's disk tray. The installation software should load automatically; if it doesn't consult your computer manual. If you are running Windows™ XP® or higher operating system, you should already have the Bluetooth adapter drivers installed.

    • 6). Open printer options on your computer. Add a printer and choose "Bluetooth printer" when prompted to populate a list of Bluetooth-enabled printers within 100 feet of your computer. Choose your printer from the list.

Troubleshooting - your printer is not listed

    • 1). Turn off your computer, printer and print server.

    • 2). Check all cables and power cords. Wait at least 10 seconds.

    • 3). Power on your print server, printer and computer.

    • 4). Retry adding your printer from your computer's control panel.
