- 1). Subscribe to the Sirius or XM Internet radio streaming plan. This can be done by visiting the Sirius or XM Radio websites or by calling their customer support toll-free phone numbers. There is a monthly fee for this service, but there is a discount if there is an active satellite receiver on the same account. Subscribers who have a lifetime subscription on a satellite receiver may be grandfathered in and receive access to the Internet streaming service at no additional cost.
- 2). Log in to the Sirius or XM website using an existing account. If necessary, create a new account. The created username and password will be used to access Sirius or XM programming from the Internet or smartphone devices.
- 3). Download the official Sirius XM application for BlackBerry on the BlackBerry web browser. Alternatively, visiting the download site on a desktop or notebook computer allows users to receive an e-mail with instructions on installing the official Sirius XM Internet radio application for BlackBerry.
- 4). Locate the Sirius XM BlackBerry application on the BlackBerry device on which it was installed.
- 5). Open the Sirius XM application.
- 6). Enter the username and password associated with the account that has an active subscription to the Sirius XM Internet radio service. The Sirius XM radio application will not function without a username, password and valid subscription.
- 7). Wait while the current list of available radio stations is downloaded. This process only occurs the first time the application is launched. If the application is deleted and later reinstalled, the channel list will be downloaded again.
- 8). Select a radio station to play. Radio stations are listed by category. To play any station on the list, simply select it. Favorite stations can be added to the favorites list for faster future access but clicking on the heart icon.
