- 1). Double-click the DVD to iPod converter program's icon on your PC's desktop, or click the Finder icon on your Macintosh screen's dock, click the Applications tab in the Finder sidebar and double-click the "DVD to iPod Converter" icon.
- 2). Insert the DVD you wish to convert into the optical drive on your computer. Click "File" at the top of the program's menu, and click "Open DVD" in the submenu.
- 3). Click the drop-down menu at the top of the "Open DVD" window, and select the DVD icon as the source file. Click the "Open" button to return to the main program window.
- 4). Select the drop-down list next to "Profile" and choose "iPod (*.mp4)."
- 5). Click the drop-down menu underneath the "Video Quality" section and select "High."
- 6). Click the "Browse" button, select your Documents folder or Desktop as the destination for the converted video and click the "Add" or "Choose" button.
- 7). Check the box next to the chapters of the DVD you want to convert, and select the "Convert" or "Start" button to convert the DVD to an MP4.
