In this case, no matter if the gear is from quests or bought from AH, make sure to improve your critical chance, stamina and defense.
It's important to resist when using AoEs and you can't just rely on the Frost Presence for that.
To improve your damage, simply apply Rune of the Fallen Crusader on your weapon.
