The McCarren Park pool in Williamsburg is Brooklyn's newest public pool. It's a gorgeous, huge facility. Here's how to get there:
McCarren Park Pool
Where to Enter: Lorimer Street, between Driggs Avenue and Bayard Street.
How to Get There by Subway:
- L Train: Take the L train to the Bedford Avenue stop in Brooklyn. Walk north on Bedford to Lorimer Street, t right on Lorimer. Look for the huge building ahead; the Main Arch of the pool is on the left on Lorimer St. between Driggs & Bayard Avenues.
- Or, take the L train to Lorimer, respectively. Walk across Metropolitan on Union. Walk up Union under BQE overpass to Roebling. Make a right, walk one block to Lorimer.
- By G train: Take the G to Nassau Avenue. Walk South two blocks, go left on Lorimer Street. Walk 1 1/2 long blocks. Look left, you cannot miss it! Nassau Avenue.
How to Get There by Car:
- Take the Williamburg Bridge, exit at the first exit, immediately upon crossing the bridge. Turn left onto Havemeyer Street, then right onto Metropolitan Avenue. Drive under the BQE and turn left on Union. Proceed several blocks; McCarren Park Pool is on the right.
