Campgrounds in Savannah, Tennessee

      Savannah, Tennessee is a small town on the banks of the Tennessee River. Pickwick Landing State Park is a short drive from downtown Savannah and offers boating, fishing, swimming and other outdoor recreational activities near the Pickwick Dam. Other attractions in the area include the Tennessee River Museum, Shiloh National Military Park, Savannah's historic district and the Buford Pusser Home and Museum. Visitors who wish to enjoy the great outdoors in a tent, camper or RV can choose from several campgrounds in the area.

    Green Acres RV Park

    • The Green Acres RV Park is a privately-owned campground located between downtown Savannah and Pickwick Dam. It is a short drive from Pickwick Landing State Park and the Tennessee River Museum. The campground has pull-through sites and offers 30 and 50 amp electrical hookups. There are covered pavilions, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, a swimming pool and a fishing pond. The park has free wireless Internet access. Pets are allowed but must be on a leash at all times, and pet owners must clean up after them. Discounts are available for members of several camping clubs.

    Pickwick Landing State Park Campground

    • Pickwick Landing State Park Campground is nestled in the midst of mature trees offering plenty of shade. It is located on Pickwick Lake, and there are two trails leading to the water's edge. Sewer hookups are not available, but there is a dump station at the campground entrance. All sites have picnic tables on concrete pads, grills and fire rings. There is a bathhouse and playground. Two handicapped accessible sites are available, and the park offers discounted rates to disabled campers. The campground is open year-round and is routinely patrolled by park rangers. Pets are allowed, and there are sites to accommodate large rigs.

    Pickwick Dam TVA Campground

    • The Pickwick Dam TVA Campground is on the Tennessee River below the Pickwick Dam. It is a well-shaded area near the boat ramps. There are 66 campsites with electric and water connections. Primitive sites are also available. The campground has a bathhouse and dump station. All sites have grills and picnic tables. The campground does not offer sites that will accommodate large rigs. Pets are welcome.
