- Tennessee is known for its mountainous regions and historic landmark cities such as Nashville and Gatlinburg. Tennessee lakes and creeks provide opportunities for activities such as swimming and fishing, and areas around water often have hiking and biking trails.
- The Horse Creek Dock and Resort, on Dale Hollow Lake, has cabins and other lodgings beside the lake, including some accommodations with private docks. Fishing is allowed year round. All of the accommodations are on the waterfront. Amenities include fireplaces, Jacuzzis and private docks. The nearby marina rents boat. Dollywood is nearby. Smoky Mountain National Park offers hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, swimming around waterfalls and fishing. Other nearby activities include horseback riding, golfing and shopping.
- This secluded cabin is in northeast Tennessee. The cabin is next to a 70-foot waterfall that is visible through the living and sunroom windows, as well as through the screen porch, which overlooks a bluff. The cabin sleeps five to eight people. A trail leads down to the creek and wild animals such as raccoons, deer, and bears are all frequent visitors to the area around this cabin. Nearby activities include whitewater rafting and hiking. Museums and historical landmarks are within an hour of this cabin.
- Fall Creek Falls State Park has one of the tallest waterfalls in the Eastern U.S. For lodging, the park offers cabins, camping and a hotel. Some lakeside cabins have private docks. The park has a picnic area and a restaurant. Activities include hiking, fishing, golfing and swimming.
