- 1). Connect your Xbox 360 to the modem or router you use to access your Bright House Internet connection by running the Xbox's Ethernet cable between a free port on the router and the Ethernet port on the back of the console.
- 2). Turn on your Xbox 360 and navigate to the "My Xbox" section of the system menu. Choose "System Settings" then "Network Settings."
- 3). Select "Test Xbox Live Connection." The system will confirm that it is connected to the Internet.
- 4). Press the "B" button to return to the main menu for your console. Navigate to the "My Xbox" section and select your account. Press "A" and choose "Join Xbox Live."
- 5). Enter a user name for your account using the onscreen keyboard. This cannot be changed. Input your full name, date of birth and email address then choose "Sign Me Up" to be connected to Xbox Live.
