What the heck is your dog's problem? He chews on your expensive shoes and clothes, destroying everything that comes in his path.
His teeth are a natural disaster waiting to happen no matter where he goes.
Not only are you worried about your personal items, but what if a he chomps on a family member? Its time to blow the whistle and get your pet in line! When it comes to biting, the best thing that you could possibly do for your pet is train them not to do so when they are younger.
Most puppies do not bite to hurt, only more so to play.
The biggest problem is that playful little pup can develop the same habits as an adult dog.
Once this happens, they think that biting is okay and some dogs do not know their own jaw strength.
When your puppy wants to chew on your personal belongings, give him plenty of chew toys to divert his energy on.
And if he tries to "play" bite with you are a family member, give the puppy a firm but not too forceful tap on the jaw.
Puppies cannot stand being hit in the jaw and they will eventually get the point.
Continue to work with your puppy by using these useful nuggets.
Eventually he will stop the chewing and biting problem.
For adult dogs, it is recommended that you have a professional trainer to aid him in his biting problem.
Adult dogs can be more stubborn to work with and they may turn on you if you are not careful.
The best thing that you can do is train your puppy early and eventually the biting will cease.
