- 1). Download and print an "Application For A Pennsylvania License To Carry Firearms" from the York County Sheriff's website.
- 2). Complete the application by filling in your personal information, the reason why you want the permit, two references, and by answering the questions concerning whether you have a criminal history or involvement with illegal drugs. You must truthfully state that you are over 21 years of age, and include a passport-sized photo of yourself.
- 3). Submit the application to the city in which you live, such as Allentown, Bethlehem or Easton. If you do not live in a Class A city, then submit it to the county sheriff where you reside in either Lehigh, Northampton or Carbon counties.
- 4). You must wait up to 45 days for the permit to be approved.
