How to Treat Chlorosis in Centipedegrass

    • 1). Mix 2 ounces of ferrous sulfate in 3 gallons of water inside a sprayer, such as a hose-end applicator. This amount covers 1,000 square feet of lawn.

    • 2). Spray the ferrous sulfate solution on the centipedegrass evenly while walking at a normal pace. Make this first iron application between February and May.

    • 3). Repeat Steps 1 and 2 sometime between June and August. Allow a three-month interval between the two iron-supplement applications.
