Video: How to Keep Bees Out of Grapes

Video Transcript

Hi. I'm Paul Holowko, and I'm going to talk to you about how to keep bees out of your grape vines. First rule of thumb, don't. Let your bees come. If you want grapes you have to have bees. It's part of the ecosystem. I recommend them in having a beehive or having some sort of community near where you might have a variety of different beehives. It's because of the pollination of the bees from one to another, from one grape to another that actually allows you to actually have the grapes themselves. There's a variety of other different bugs and insects that help pollinate those, help pollinate your grapes and welcome those. Any other stuff that you want to really be aware of are any type of vector insects that might be for viruses or diseases that might cause problems on your grapes. But as it when it comes to bees, allow them. The more the merrier.
