- Apply an eye primer to your eyelids. The primer has a neutral tone and smooths your eyelids, serving as a base for other colors. Apply a bright eyeshadow color, like yellow, all over your eyelids and up to your brow bone. Smudge some under your lower lash line, too. Put a contrasting color, such as red or purple, over the yellow, halfway up to your brow bone. Apply glitter eyeshadow in a lighter shade or clear glitter gel all over your eyelids and finish up with dark mascara. Use fake eyelashes with attached rhinestones for more sparkle.
- For perfect disco-era lips, use a bright pink lipstick or lip gloss. Outline your lips with a matching lip pencil first, which keeps the lipstick from smudging. Use a lip primer to keep the lipstick from wearing off over the course of the night. Apply the pink lipstick with a lipstick brush, spreading the lip color evenly. Add a clear or pale pink lip gloss on top of the lip color for extra shine.
- Use a moisturizer or lotion all over your face and wait for the moisturizer to dry. The moisturizer provides a good base for your makeup. Apply a lightweight, liquid foundation on your cheeks, chin, nose and forehead. Add a drop of peach blush on the apples of your cheeks and blend it downward.
- For that extra touch of '70s glamor, use a bronzer or tanner on your face instead of foundation. Gently blend the color into your skin, giving your face a sun-kissed look. For a more natural look, opt for a gel blush in a color one shade darker than your natural skin color. Complete your look with a translucent powder dusted all over your face.
