- 1). Verify that the DVD/VCR player or other audio device's power cord is securely connected to the wall outlet. Check that the wall outlet is working.
- 2). Confirm that the TV recognizes the connected audio device. Press the "Menu" button on the TV control panel or remote control, then press the "Up" or "Down" button and select "Input." Press the "Enter" button twice and then select "Source List." Press the ""Up" or "Down" button and then select "AV1," "AV2," S-Video1," "S-Video2," "PC," "HDMI1," "HDMI2" or "HDMI3."
- 3). Confirm that the audio device is turned on and then increase its volume level.
- 4). Press the "Vol+" button on the remote control or TV control panel and increase the volume on the TV.
- 5). Check that the antenna connection is secure and then rearrange the direction and angle of the antenna until you hear sound.
- 6). Verify that the home theater's Digital Audio In (Optical) connection to the TV is secure if you connected home theater speakers. Check that the optical cable is connected to the receiver and TV.
- 7). Verify that your TV's home theater settings are correct if you connected an A/V receiver. Press the "Anynet+" button on your remote control, then press the "Up" or "Down" button and then select "Receiver." Press the "Enter" button, then press Up" or "Down" button and then select "On." Press the "Enter" button and then press "Exit."
