  The first thing most avid readers do is check out the cover and the back flap of the books they are thinking of purchasing. For those who stock their own at-home library, it's wonderful to have that info immediately available without having to pull each book out of its place on the shelf. Create scrapbook pages for each book that includes a picture of the cover, as well as the back flap synopsis. You can also include your personal rating for the book, as well as a review on how you liked it and what you liked best. The pages can be grouped into genre or alphabetized by author, whichever you prefer.

• Create character pages featuring all the books they are in
  
  Create scrapbook pages for your favorite literary characters. Include the books each character is in, some of your favorite story lines or parts of the books, and decorate the pages with some of the things that character is fond of. For example, in the picture provided, the character is mentioned in two books before he gets his own story. By reading the two books before his story first, the reader gets more of a connection to the character and enjoys the stories even more.
  
  

Classics are timeless

• Create a classics page that can be framed
  
  Every library has some of the classics sitting on the shelf. Create pages that tell the story and reflect the feel of the book. For example, a page on the Illiad of Homer would have a Grecian feel to it. These pages don't have to be kept in a book; frame them and place them near where the book resides. It may just spark the interest of someone who isn't familiar with the classic story and you'll soon have an avid reader convert on your hands.
