DC Games for Wii

    LEGO Batman: The Videogame

    • LEGO Batman: The Videogame came out in 2008. It is native to the Wii--that is, it was built specifically to take advantage of the Wii's features. The game is for two people who play cooperatively and simultaneously. Players can take on one of many character roles, including Batman, Robin or various villains.

As a game based on an action figure, LEGO Batman is appropriately placed in the action genre, while the LEGO connection, as you might guess, ensures the game is suitable for most players. It has a rating of E10+, which means E for Everyone, recommended for players age 10 and above. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment publishes LEGO Batman.

Batman: The Brave and the Bold the Videogame

    • Batman: The Brave and the Bold the Videogame is another title published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It debuted in autumn of 2010, the video game arising from the TV series Batman: The Brave and the Bold, this cartoon itself based on the comic book from the 1950s. The comic books, cartoon and video game all share stylistic similarities, so if you like the way the TV series is drawn, you will enjoy the look of the video game.

Like LEGO Batman: The Videogame, Batman: The Brave and the Bold is played by two players that cooperate during play. Each player can choose to play as Batman or other DC heroes, including Robin, the Green Lantern and Aquaman. Batman: The Brave and the Bold falls in the action-adventure genre.

    Superman: Shadow of Apokolips

    • Infogrames developed and published Superman: Shadow of Apokolips, releasing it in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube. Like Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Superman: Shadow of Apokolips is based on a TV series aimed at children. Naturally, then, the game is rated E for Everyone. As a DC game that falls in the action genre, players battle robotic warriors unleased by Lex Luthor and fellow baddie Darkseid. You can only play the role of Superman, but that means you get to fly, use heat or x-ray vision, exhale freeze breath and, of course, rely on brute super-strength. Besides fighting Lex Luthor and Darkseid, other bad guys making an appearance are Metallo, Parasite and Livewire. The game is a bit on the short side, possessing 14 levels.
